Can you paint a parquet wood floor

The parquet wood floor is hardwood in a pre-war building but is so thin the

nailheads are showing. I am not sure I am up to refinishing it yet or

putting in a new floor. Can l paint it as a temporrary fix using a porch

I think you have answered your own question. if parquet is
